With the rapidly increase of confirmed COVID-19 cases, the State of Michigan release the executive orders No. 2020-21, Temporary requirement to suspend activities that are not necessary to sustain or protect life.
With that, Michigan Tech closed the campus for at lease 3 weeks, staring from March 24th, 12:01 am. That means we need to stay at home most of the times.
At the date of March 22nd, there was only around 700 confirmed cases. In less than 10 days, the confirmed cases jumped to around 6500, nearly 10 times. On March 29, Houghton Country sees first positive COVID-19 test result.
